In-Clinic Therapy

Home Therapy

ABA home sessions play a vital role in promoting generalization of skills, involving families in the therapy process, tailoring interventions to individual needs, facilitating real-life application of skills, and providing ongoing support and education for families.

01

The BCBA evaluates the individual's behavior, skills, strengths, and deficits. This assessment may involve interviews with parents or caregivers, direct observations, and standardized assessments.

The BCBA develops a personalized treatment plan tailored to the individual's needs and goals which also determines the amount of service hours needed based on medical necessity. Before therapy can begin, parents or legal guardians typically need to provide consent for services and authorize the release of information as needed.

After the treatment plan is completed by the BCBA, it will be sent to insurance along with other required documentation. Insurance will review and approve based on what they decide is medically necessary. This step in the process does not apply to private pay clients.

Once consent is obtained and insurance approves services, therapy sessions are scheduled based on the individual's availability and the provider's availability. During sessions, the ABA therapist implements the interventions outlined in the treatment plan, working directly with the individual to target specific behaviors and skills.

The ABA therapists systematically collect data on the individual's progress towards treatment goals. This data is used to track progress, make data-driven decisions about treatment adjustments, and measure outcomes over time. As the individual progresses in therapy and goals are achieved, the ABA provider works with the family to plan for discharge from services.
