BCBA

A BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. These professionals have met rigorous education and experience requirements set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have passed a comprehensive examination. BCBA's are trained to apply the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to improve behavior and learning in individuals with a wide range of behavioral challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and mental health disorders.

BCaBA

A BCaBA is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. Similar to a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), a BCaBA is a professional who has met the requirements set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) but operates under the supervision of a BCBA or other qualified professional. BCaBAs typically have a bachelor's degree in behavior analysis or a related field, have completed coursework in behavior analysis, and have gained supervised experience in the field.

RBT

RBT stands for Registered Behavior Technician. It is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis, recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). RBTs work under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) to implement behavior intervention plans, conduct behavior assessments, and collect data on the progress of individuals receiving behavior analysis services. RBTs typically work directly with clients.
